Player's

The Player’s Card is a key
tag card that all players are required to scan in prior to each
activity. Upon completion of a waiver and paying the card fee, each
player’s information and photo is entered into our system and the
card is issued. Player's

Inclement Weather Policy:
We will make a decision by 3pm on weekdays, and 7am on weekends
regarding canceling activities due to inclement weather. Every
effort will be made to reschedule activities postponed due to
weather at a later date and time, but this may not always be
possible.
Rules:
All captains and players are responsible for reading and understanding the League Rules and policies for the league
they are participating in. Full league rules are found on the
Rules page under each sport. Any questions or
concerns regarding the rules or league policies should be brought to
the attention of the league coordinator and/or the Charlotte Sports
Center office by emailing us at
office@CharlotteSportsCenter.com.
Additional rules and policies may be added or amended by Charlotte
Sports Center before or during the season.
Jerseys:
Each team is required to
provide their own jerseys. House teams will have jerseys provided
for them, depending on the sport. Some sports require the jersey to
have a number on it. Consult the rules for each individual sport to
determine which do, and which do not. Jerseys can be purchased from
Charlotte Sports Center. If two teams have the same color jersey, the home
team will have the option to wear their jersey. All players are
encouraged to bring a light and dark colored jersey to each game in
case teams have the same color.
Sportsmanship:
FUN is the primary focus of all of Charlotte Sports Center leagues.
Please keep this in mind even when competition becomes intense. Any
unacceptable behavior may result in suspension and/or ejection from
a game or the league. Fighting of any kind will result in
immediate ejection from the game and premises and will result in
suspension for the ENTIRE season and/or a permanent ban from all Charlotte Sports
Center leagues and events. Any player that has been ejected
will be required to leave the premises immediately. If the
player does not leave, the game will be called and their team will be
given a forfeit.
Forfeits:
If you know in advance your team is going to forfeit a game, we
request you call our office in order to help us make arrangements to
schedule a game for your opponent. Excessive forfeits
may result in elimination from end of season playoffs or removal
from the league. In order for a team to receive a "Win" by
the opposing team's "Forfeit", the team must show and
provide enough players to field a team. In the case that
neither team shows, a double forfeit will be posted.
Game
Times:
The posted time for your game
is the time that the game will start, not the time to start warming
up. Please be ready to play at least 5 minutes before your game so
that all scheduled games can start promptly. If a team has no members
present at game time, then they will receive a forfeit. A team must
have a minimum number of players (varies by sport; check individual
sport rules) at the game site by game time to avoid a forfeit. If they
do, they will get a 5 minute grace period to have enough players
available to start the game.
Playoffs:
Eligible teams based on standings (and not having abused any rules
or policies) will advance to the end of season playoff or
consolation game as applicable. The top 33% of teams per league
advance to the playoff (minimum of 4 teams) and playoffs are single
elimination. Only players that are on the team roster by
the 4th game will be eligible to play in the playoffs. All players
must have their ID and Player's Card present with them during all playoff games.
League
Prizes:
Charlotte
Sports Center
awards the winning team in each league a Championship T-Shirt for each player.
Rosters
& Waivers:
We require a signed
Liability
Waiver and
valid Player's Card for each Participant
before they will be allowed to Participate in any league or other
Activity. The Waiver can be filled out and
submitted Online or in person at your next League Game.
All player's names must be on the team roster form before they will
be allowed to play. It is the captain’s responsibility to
make sure all player's names are on the team roster before they
play. Players found playing in a game and not on the team’s
roster, will cause the team to forfeit that game and all previous
games he/she has played in. The league coordinator will be
spot-checking the rosters during the season. New players can
only be added to the roster until the 4th game of the season in
order to be eligible for the playoffs. Teams that are short
players for a game can use a guest player if that player purchases a
Guest Pass. No "pick up players" will be
allowed for any playoff games.
Player
Eligibility:
An eligible player is one who is on the team roster and has a signed
waiver on file with Charlotte Sports Center and is not on any other
roster for another team in the same division and one who follows the
rules of the league.
Exception: If a team does not have a
full roster for a specific game, guest
players are allowed, but are required to buy a $10 Guest Pass if
they do not already have a valid Player’s Card. A
Team found to be using guest players without a valid Player's Card
will be required to forfeit the game in question. In any leagues that are
age-restricted, e.g. 30 and over, any player on a team's roster must
meet that league's specific age requirements by the first game date.
For example, in a 30 and over league, any player on that roster must
be 30 years of age on or before the first scheduled game date for
that league.
Guest Pass Policy:
Guest
Passes may be purchased for any player who does not have a valid
Player's Card but who would like to fill in for a team for a game. A
Guest Pass may be purchased for $10.00 and is non-refundable. The
Guest Pass is good for one day only. Any player purchasing a Guest
Pass must also fill out a Charlotte Sports Center waiver. Anyone
purchasing a Guest Pass must be at least 18 years of age. Proof of
age is required. Teams may only use 1 Guest Pass per game. An
individual player can only use a Guest Pass once per season. Teams
may not use Guest Pass players in the last week of the regular
season, nor in any playoff games. Guest Pass players may participate
in consolation games. Any Guest Pass player that is ejected from a
game will result in that team forfeiting the game, and that player
will be prohibited from any future participation in Charlotte Sports
Center leagues.
